Musical Skills - Thirty year career as a full time professional musician. I read (standard notation, chord symbols, etc.) and improvise. Familiar with a wide variety of musical styles, and excellent repertoire of popular songs. I have been a Musical Director, Contractor, Composer/Arranger and Music Copyist. Member, Local 6, American Federation of Musicians. Network television, studio and recording experience. Have good ears and am sensitive, versatile, I adapt quickly to different musical situations. Musical perfectionist. Excellent stage presence and very at ease in front of large audiences or television cameras. Seasoned touring musician who has performed in over a dozen foreign countries, sometimes for heads of state. Loves to travel, good room mate. Natural flair for comedy and acting. Good health and physical condition. No bad habits. Other languages include some French, German and Spanish.

Recordings, Motion Pictures, Radio and Television: NBC's "Tonight Show with Johnny Carson", CBS television special "The Captain and Tenille in New Orleans", "Austin City Limits" on PBS, the ABC television special "Springtime in San Francisco with Perry Como", performances on the "CBS Television Evening News" and NBC "Today" shows. "A Praire Home Companion" on APR. Major motion pictures, radio and television commercials and jingles.

Other Special Engagements and Performances: U.S. White House, world premier of "Eight Jellyrolls" by Twyla Tharp, with Twyla Tharp Dancers. Pit orchestra work on first run road productions of shows such as "Sweeney Todd". Musical Director for Beverly Dinner Playhouse, New Orleans, LA. Popular and Rock - I have performed with: Louie Jordan, The Four Tops, Lloyd Price, Tom Waites, Van Morrison, Allan Toussaint,, Taj Mahal, Tom Jones, Emerson, Lake and Palmer Tour Orchestra, Bo Didly, Perry Como, Cheryl Ladd, The Ink Spots, The Four Lads, Patty Page, The Four Aces and many others. I have backed up stars such as Cleo Lane, Robert Goulet and Sarah Vaughn to mention only a few.

Blues Artists - I have performed with: Mike Bloomfield, "Lightnin'" Hopkins, Roosevelt Sykes, Professor Longhair, Clarence "Gatemouth" Brown, Long John Hunter and many others.

Professional Symphony Orchestra Positions - Kansas City Philharmonic, Denver Symphony (performed "Appalachian Spring" under the baton of the composer, Aaron Copeland). Numerous community professional and semi-professional symphony orchestras.

Jazz Festivals - The following are some jazz festivals where I have performed: The Monterey Jazz Festival, The New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, The Montreux Switzerland Jazz Festival, The 1990 World Exposition in Osaka, Japan, Jazz Fest of Nice, France. Many other festivals throughout the US Europe and Japan. Selected as one of Kansas City Jazz Festival College All-Stars 1971.

Jazz Artists - I have performed with: Cannonball and Nat Adderly, Rahsaan Roland Kirk, Lee Konitz, Buddy DeFranco, Joe Venuti, Louie Jordan, Carmen McCrae, Richard "Groove" Holms, Emily Remler, Stephan Grappelli, Clark Terry, Ellis Marsalis, Eddie Harris, Lloyd Ellis and many others.

Big Bands - I have performed with: The Glenn Miller Orchestra, Woody Herman and His Orchestra, The Tommy Dorsey Orchestra, The New Deal Rhythm Band and others.

Dixieland - I have performed with: The Dukes of Dixieland, Bob Wilbur, Al Hirt, Pete Fountain, The Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Butch Thompson, The Hall Brothers, The Young Tuxedo, Onward and Olympia Brass Bands participating in many traditional New Orleans jazz funerals and celebrations.
