A few words from Artie ...

Thanks for taking the time to read my resume. I have placed it here on the web to promote my services as a performing and studio musician, educator, musical director and composer/arranger.

I've been a professional musician all my life, playing doublebass, electric bass, 'cello and tuba with some of music's great artists.

If you are looking for a highly experienced, versatile bassist who:

  • Is technically proficient from years of study and practice

  • Is familiar with a wide variety of musical styles

  • Reads well (standard notation, chord symbols, Nashville, etc.)

  • Improvises brilliantly

  • Has a broad repertoire of popular songs and standards

  • Is sensitive, with "good ears"

  • Has performed with major recording artists

  • Adapts quickly to different musical situations

  • Has network television and studio recording experience

  • Is at ease in front of large audiences and television cameras

  • Has excellent stage presence

  • Possesses a natural flair for comedy and acting

  • Has been a music director, contractor, composer/arranger and music copyist

  • Is a seasoned touring musician, and free to travel

then you should contact me for your next tour or recording project!

If you would like me to perform, record, teach as an artist/clinician, present a Jazz History lecture, or give a workshop on computer music software, please go directly to my contact page. All travel must include expenses and per dieum, and remuneration must be consummate with services.

Thanks again, and I hope to hear from you regarding your next tour, recording project or clinic.
